Holy Monsoon batman!!!!!

It has been Monsoon season for the last month and a half but only in the last week or so have we truly seen its fury! If you have never experienced true Monsoon than it really is a sight to see!!!

The rain is comes down in such large quantities in such a short amount of time that you truly can not see but a few feet in front of yourself. It floods everything in mere minutes and causes chaos on the roads! I watched the rain take out a brick wall on the farmers property across the way just a day ago. This wall is nearly 8 feet tall and probably 2 feet thick and with a loud crash the flooding water won the competition without much fight. I was amazed as i watched it happen, and very happy that there was no one around and no one got hurt. I do feel bad for the poor cows who have been locked up since because they no longer have a wall to keep them in and their grazing field is now a stock dam!

Everything is so green and lush right now and you can tell, although the water is a bit on the excessive side that the earth is just soaking it up! From what i have been told, Hyderabad is in no more need of water as the ground is becoming saturated and flooding and standing water is showing up every where. This of course makes the mosquito season worse, and so things like Malaria and Dengue are on the rise. There are hundreds of beautiful Dragon flies swarming our complex and i just hope they eat up all of the mosquitoes.

Ryan, Ella Mae and i enjoyed a nice 2 day weekend together and it allowed me some time to recover from my cold and lack of sleep! I have been truly exhausted, physically and emotionally lately so this reprieve was nice. We had a wonderful Mediterranean lunch at the Hotel across the way and spent most of our time just being a family!

Ella Mae has found her sense of humor and she keeps us in stitches. Her teeth are not bothering her to much right now so that is nice. She loves rice cereal and would probably give up milk all together in exchange if i would let her, but she will just have to make due with once a day for now! She is getting so big and strong. Although she has learned to roll over she would much prefer to sit or stand. She has been supported standing since she was 2-3 months old, i attribute it to her long legs and when we burp her she has just been standing on our legs. She can sit up without support if she tries really hard so i expect she will master this skill very soon. I wonder if she will be one of those kids who skips crawling and goes straight to walking, oh Lord help us!!!! We have been teaching her sign language and the other day she showed that she is starting to recognize the sign milk. I cant wait until a few months from now when she starts to sign back!

Ryan and i are rolling up on our 4 year wedding anniversary, and i cant help but think how much has changed in those 4 years....WOW! I thank God every day for giving me such an amazing dedicated husband and a beautiful healthy baby girl! I am truly blessed!!!!
